I buy, transition, and grow small to medium-sized businesses with Burlington Street Partners. Over the years, this has become more than just a job—it’s a passion. SMBs are the backbone of our economy, yet most business owners don’t have a plan for what happens next. That’s where we come in.

I’ve spent my career figuring out what makes businesses tick, from the financials to the people who run them. Here’s the (somewhat unconventional) path that got me here:

• Started in audit – earned my CPA at EY, where I got a first-hand look into how businesses really operate. It wasn’t always thrilling, but it gave me an unshakable foundation in accounting and finance.
• Jumped into business valuation and M&A – spent several years at Campbell Valuation Partners (acquired by Duff & Phelps, now Kroll), helping businesses understand what they were worth and guiding owners through the sale process. This is where I learned that valuations are only numbers until you understand the story behind them.
• Moved to East Africa – because why not? For two years, I provided financial consulting to local businesses, built Haystack Africa (an online course to train accountants), got a whole new perspective on business in emerging markets and enjoyed some life-changing adventures.
• Now, I buy and build businesses—through Burlington Street Partners, I acquire and transition SMBs, helping owners successfully step away while ensuring their businesses continue to thrive.
